Up to 5 people can use one Netflix account at the same time. However, if you log in to another person's profile, you can secretly view the other person's viewing history or preferences. To prevent this situation, you need to set up a Netflix profile lock using your Netflix pin number, but it is not easy to find the setting menu. The solution is as follows.
1. When you log in, you will see that there is no lock under the profile icon that does not have a Netflix PIN set.
2. Select [Profile Management].
3. Select the [Icon] you want to set to lock your Netflix profile.
4. Select [Preference level].
5. Select [Account Settings].
6. On the parental control screen, enter the 4-digit number you will use as your future Netflix profile lock password in the [Account Password] field and click [Next].
7. Scroll down to the bottom and click [Save].
8. In [Profile & parental control settings] in the middle of the screen, select the [down arrow] to the right of the [icon] you want to set the Netflix profile lock for.
9. It should say [Off] under [Profile Lock]. Click [Change] on the right.
10. On the [Profile Lock] screen, enter your account password and click [Next].
11. Now, enter the 4-digit number you want to use as the most important Netflix profile lock password and click [Save]. Now, when you log in to Netflix again, you will see a padlock under your profile picture as well. The 4-digit number entered here is the Netflix pin number that only I know. If your Netflix pin number has been exposed, you can change it here again.
If family members or acquaintances use a single Netflix account, they may not want to share their viewing history or preferences. In this case, if you set a Netflix pin number, you cannot log in with your profile if you do not know your Netflix password. Personal privacy can be protected as much as possible.
